Ray Bradbury passed away last night(Although I don't know the hour of his passing, I can't help but note the timing and wonder if he departed this earth as Venus transited the Sun for the last time in this next hundred years. Anne McCaffrey passed away earlier this afternoon.

I think seperis said it best. McCaffrey was a great writer and a leader in the field, and I will remember her fondly and be glad of and continue to enjoy the gift of her work for the rest of my life.
